About Ten Five Ranch
Here's one for the short list! The Ten Five Ranch is a high elevation hunting and recreational property with features that will serve outdoors enthusiasts of ALL types. This 100 acre ranch sits at 10,500 ft elevation and is a brief 45 minute drive north of Chama, NM. Once your tires leave the pavement, settle in for an absolutely beautiful 9 mile drive through mountain meadows lined with aspen, pine and spruce. Cross a few rivers and creeks filled with trout, pass through a few locked private gates and leave the world behind you. The Ten Five Ranch is the ultimate recreational property and it borders over 40,000 acres of National Forest to the north. Whether your passion is hunting, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, horseback, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, camping or all of the above, here's the place for you. Hunters will appreciate the quantity of elk, mule deer, turkey, bear and grouse. The ranch has consistently received one ea. ( Unit 4 ) Landowner elk permit each year. Mule deer permits are over the counter private land only. Bordering National Forest and Unit 52, one can apply for public draws as well. Anglers will find 2 ea. year-round streams on the property that are loaded with native brown trout. Snowmobiler's, hikers, mountain bikers, skiers and equestrians have countless miles of roads and trails throughout the area to explore as well. There is a base camp established on the property with a 20' x 24' build pad installed for a small two story cabin.
