Eldorado Real Estate Market
The Eldorado at Santa Fe real estate market is primarily single-family homes, with some vacant land and lots for sale. Eldorado is overwhelmingly residential, with some local businesses and two fire stations. Homes range in price point, and real estate in Eldorado does also include luxury properties—some of the newest, largest, and most exclusive homes. Vacant land also varies in price point, depending on location and size, as well.
In regards to architecture, homes for sale in Eldorado typically stick to the Pueblo style—which means stucco exteriors and flat roofs, which helps blend into the landscape quite beautifully. Real estate is usually one floor, although sometimes there are a few two-story homes on the market. Interior features include tile flooring, exposed beams, and usually quite neutral color palettes. Many homes do have a fireplace, and properties are often built on very large lots, surrounded by trees, shrubs, and other natural features. Eldorado homes, as well, have outdoor spaces for entertaining.
Eldorado has a selection of newer construction homes for sale, for those searching for something recently developed. While these range in price point, these do include the area’s luxury properties, which tend to mix traditional and modern architecture together. You’ll find modern kitchens and contemporary finishes, but these homes still maintain that beautiful Santa Fe Pueblo style.
Eldorado Community Highlights
The community of Eldorado is thought of as a Santa Fe bedroom community. Its great location means that residents are never far away from the city, but also experience peace and tranquility—as Eldorado feels decidedly rural. Depending on the area, it’s about a 20-25 minute drive to downtown Santa Fe.
While there are trails around the community, Eldorado is located near several mountain peaks. For those who love hiking or camping, this area has a lot of opportunities to do so. There is one school in Eldorado: El Dorado Community School, which serves kindergarten to grade eight. High school students attend the nearby Santa Fe High School. Down the street from the school is the community’s library, Vista Grande Public Library. There is also a small shopping center and a supermarket in Eldorado.
Eldorado has its own community center, which is located on Hacienda Loop, and hosts community events year-round. Residents gain access by keycard, and are able to enjoy the following amenities: an outdoor pool, tennis and pickleball courts, sports fields, hiking and cycling paths, stables (which house about 65 horses), and so much more.
Of course, with Santa Fe being so close, residents can also take a short drive to the city, for even more amenities. From restaurants to museums, Santa Fe has a vibrant culture that can be enjoyed by everyone.
